AVOCADO SPINACH GREEN SMOOTHIE
MARCH 22, 2021
This is by far the best-tasting green smoothie I have ever made. I have made a lot of green smoothies, but this one is perfection. It’s rich, creamy, silky smooth and not to mention refreshing. This is my ideal way to consume avocado asides from having it crushed, seasoned and smothered into a sandwich.
The texture of this smoothie is spot-on, and I’ve got the avocado to thank for that. It makes it creamy and smooth which makes it more enticing to chug down a glass or two.
I am also giving some credit to the spinach in this recipe. Spinach is one of my favorite green vegetables to consume. I use to think it was gross when I was a kid, just from watching the cartoon “Popeye the sailor.” But I was wrong, I think it is certainly one of the great-tasting veggies from the green leafy family. And by the looks of it, every time Popeye gulp down a can of this, he immediately grows a large pair of muscles and gained a lot of energy to efficiently carry out the tasks at hand. Green leafy vegetables are rich in nitrates which aid in boosting energy for those who consume them. It also supports muscle functions which aid tremendously in athletic performance.
Spinach is rich in fiber and iron and has considerably decent amounts of vitamins and nutrients. Therefore, it provides its fair share of health benefits such as lowering the risk of cancer, enhancing the blood’s function, improving cholesterol, protects eye and heart health as well as many other health benefits. I consider it the star of the show that gives any green smoothie that rich and vibrant green color.
If you don’t like to eat vegetables, then by all means drink them! I implore you to give this smoothie a go. Besides, it’s real easy to make. All you need to do is grab a bunch of spinach (about 2 cups worth), one small avocado, ground flaxseed, vanilla, coconut milk, water and honey for sweetener. Blend everything until smooth and creamy. You can find the recipe below. I personally prefer to use coconut milk in this recipe as it contributes to giving the smoothie a more refreshing taste.
Feel like having a green day? Make this green smoothie and get pumped up with a burst of energy from all that fresh spinach intake. Go out and take on the day and feel happy about it.

This sounds delicious. I love the idea of Avocado and all its nutritional benefits but not the texture. So to drink them is a good solution to get more in my diet. I love spinach too. Yours looks like one of those green smoothies that will actually taste good to drink. Looking forward to trying it.
Sara,
I totally agree with you. I personally can't eat avocado on its own, I have to pair it with something else like in a sandwich and such. I am also bothered by the texture. I can tell you it's fantastic in a smoothie such as this. Once you try it you will get the idea.
I love green smoothies! I put banana, pear, spinach, ginger on mine.
Marjorie,
I love them too. I'll definitely try that one
I love avocado smoothie but never tried adding Spinach, a must-try! Its healthy and delicious I can also just swap honey with maple syrup 🙂
Jeannie,
Spinach is what gives it that lovely green color, plus more veggies for you! 🙂 Yes you could definitely use maple syrup or dates as sweetner. I know you will love it.
I have never tried a spinach smoothie before. Looks like I have something new to make.
Aditi,
Definitely give it a try, I promise you won't regret it
Looks amazing! I make smoothies or smoothie bowls every day and adding avocado seems like a great idea 🙂

Tonya,
It is all that and more 🙂
I love green smoothies, but got out of the habit or making them. I have never really added avocado to them, but now I really want to try it. Thanks for the great recipe!
