Take a moment to look around with deep observation of what surrounds you. You will come to the realization that there is opportunity in everything. As I look on the walls inside my home, I had a quick thought on the creation of paint, and then the painter… and also how a simple and useful tool such as the paintbrush might soon become obsolete. I stepped outside, tilted my head back and had a good look at the sky… then there’s the thought of how humans were not made to fly. This also must have been the thought of someone else, and as such, airplanes were invented.

Look again! Observe keenly, all the way back to the source of things. I ponder upon how books are made from trees, how aluminum makes most of the tools in my kitchen and just the mere fact that I don’t have to head down to a stream to gain access to water. So many things have been made possible that you would have thought otherwise would’ve not if you were bred in a different time.

In this quote, the sky is viewed as an open space above the earth that has no boundaries. There is no end in sight which then means that possibilities are endless. There is absolutely no limit to what you can do with the opportunities afforded to you.

“The sky is the limit” is an old and famous quote that I’ve always loved. I revamped it a little to incorporate the universe which represents areas of the sky we cannot see that is still not widely explored by humans. The human potential just like the sky is far beyond reach. If you ponder upon the vast amount of inventions that exist in the world today, not to mention so much more that are still being developed, this only leads you to believe that possibilities are indeed infinite.

The opportunities that have surfaced because of these creations prove how far the visions of men can really go. But how far can your dreams take you? I would say as far as you want to go. After all, man has made it to the moon and back which really pinpoint human’s ability to push beyond boundaries and aim higher into the unknown. You are the captain of your own vision… you are your own limit.

From an astronomical standpoint, the sky is viewed as a celestial sphere that incorporates different levels of atmosphere stretching all the way to outer space. So, saying that the sky is the limit I think is somewhat of a paradox which is really just stating there is no actual limit to the things you can do and the options that are available. The perspectives from ground level will infer the sky being as far as the clouds go. Unless you embark on a trip to outer space, then your view would be different.

We cannot readily see what is beyond the sky, but there are ways and means that make it possible to be able to view it almost in its entirety. We can draw a parallel when we have a dream or set a goal; you may only see up to the point you are trying to reach, but there are so many more possibilities beyond what you can see or attain. It is up to you to push past perceived boundaries, creating new dreams and diving into the unknown having a better view of what could be.

Only you can determine your limitations. Reach for the sky which is never-ending. Expand your vision, exhaust your potential, dream a new dream…eventually, the universe will align with you, sending you signals that will guide you on your path allowing everything to fall into place.
